How to plan your Elmo Party

The key to throwing the best Elmo party possible is to plan ahead.  This guide will give you tips for elmo invitations, decorating for your party, elmo games, cake ideas, and where you can buy all of the best elmo party supplies. 

Get the Elmo Invitations

You'll want to get your invitations our 2 - 4 weeks before your party. There are a couple of options available for elmo invitations. The first two option is from Celebrate Express:

Elmo Decorations

The color scheme for an Elmo party is obviously red and yellow. There are a number of elmo themed decorations available including: elmo streamers and banners, table covers, cake toppers, and pinatas.

For non-elmo items you can add Sesame Street items such as posters, games, and streamers. Also try cutting out letters from card stock and hanging them throughout the party area.

Elmo Party Activities

An Elmo party is all about bright colors and lots of laughter. Fun activities is the best way to get your guests in the party mood.

Decorate Your Elmo
Smooth out bright red play dough before hand and cut it into large circles. Let everyone add elmo's eyes, nose and mouth with various other colored playdough. If you feel up for it you can let them do it with different pastas and noodles.

The Puppet Show
Break the kids into groups and let them brainstorm a story to tell with puppets. Then set the stage and let the kids give everyone a show with their story.
